This is a great summary of American values - I often get in spats with liberal "anonymous" commenters on this site who blanch at the thought of "American Exceptionalism." This effort afoot now to make us just like everybody else is at the heart of our difference with the "progressives." Prager sums it up nicely in this piece.

Yes! Equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. Where you end up is your business...we just give you a place to go for success if you want to go for success.
Brilliant, succinct explanation of the American vs. European concept of "liberty." The present administration is all wrapped up and muddled by the European definition. And where has Europe been lo these many years...playing with socialism...and figuring out that it is not working!
How did we get to such a disconnect in this country with our own founding--ahhhh, that's right, no one teaches basic civics and US history anymore. Too busy trying tear down the founding fathers to do anything else.
