Passage

This little gem, a Dolphin class submarine, is one of three in the Israeli Navy. Curiously, it just transited the Suez Canal. Where, oh where, could it be going? A couple of intriguing points here - first, it transited in broad daylight and on the surface...remember, the Suez is one of only a handful of canals that don't require locks. Second, Egypt gave them free unescorted passage. Third, if you think the timing is a coincidence, you're probably a liberal - let's see, what election just occurred where a whole lot of folks got beat up or killed while an American president stood idly by? The Dolphin is diesel powered, which means it is very quiet...as someone that used to hunt subs for a living, the diesel boats scared the heck out of us. It can perform spec ops...it can fire torpedoes and oh, it can fire the Harpoon missile. The Harpoon was designed as a ship-to-ship bird, but has a very potent land attach capability as well - particularly good for knocking out early detection systems to clear a path for manned flight.

Sadly, as we connect the dots, there aren't going to be a lot of choices left for Israel to deal with the horror of a nuclear armed Iran. They will have a lot of support from the Saudis and other Gulf States that fear a nuclear armed, insane mullahocracy as much as the Israelis. Putting the Dolphin in position also sends a clear message to our young, energetic, freedom-hating President - Israel and the forces of freedom will not be deterred.

When you care enough to send the very best: Harpoon.
