Great Bumper Sticker!

Hat tip to Blue Collar Muse - had to share this!

It's WAR!

He is declaring war on investors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, large corporations, and private-equity and venture-capital funds.

Larry Kudlow has it exactly right. Read the rest of the article here.

I've been having this discussion with Rumbler's inner circle. It goes something like this:
Rumlepal: "Is Obama stupid? No one has ever climbed out of an economic death spiral by raising taxes!"
Rumbler: "The alternative is that he is an idealogue..."
Rumblepal: "But surely, he can't really believe that the government runs things better..."
Rumbler: "It's not about the efficiency of running it, it's about the control."
Rumblepal: "Naaw, I mean he's not really going to go through with this..."
Rumbler: "Dow's off almost 3000 since the Magic O took the lead over McCain in September -it still hasn't figured out where the floor is that icorporates the risk of an Obama presidency."
Rumblepal: "Is this window up here operable?"
Rumbler: "Step away from the ledge!!"

Who Cares about the Constitution?

Who the hell needs a Constitution when you have a Savior?? Now you even have the Dems getting their hackles up.

The magical O is a frightening narcissistic power hungry mistake. Pray America, pray.

Private Jets are Baaaaaad!!

Obama took special time out last night to offer the following:

This time, CEOs won't be able to use taxpayer money to pad their paychecks or buy fancy drapes or disappear on a private jet. Those days are over.

So I'm looking over his shoulder at the smiling baby-poop green thingy off his left shoulder and thinking is she going to have to rein in her troops? And when Biden finishes getting the "number" for his "recovery" website, will he tell the Senators to end the junkets too? As usual, Dilbert gets it right:

Is that really you George?

I didn't think I would live long enough to say this: "McGovern's right!" This bill is another in a series of very scary items that the Left is going to ram down our throats.

Unions served their time and purpose, but they are a dinosaur now and a total drag on American manufacturing. Just what we need to do now in the face of this economic downturn - cut them loose to organize with fear and intimidation in every sector they can. Some change...you can keep it.

Which way did they go? Which way did they go?

After violating all normal processes for getting legislation passed, O the Magnificent signs the bill that in one stroke is larger than the entire GNP of the country in 1982. But where are his friends? Where's Nancy, Harry, Barney and the rest of the Stalinist Red Guard?

Methinks O just got hosed. This thing will go sideways and the Dems in Congress can say "Hey, it was his idea! We were just doing what he told us to do..."

WOLVERINES!!

An AP Government class gives us all hope. Read this from Arizona...

Americans still have the spirit shown in "Red Dawn," but the regular obamedia won't cover it.

Could this be the beginning of the way back?

This is AWESOME! Let the Revolution begin!

Watch this CNBC interview and listen to the traders on the floor. These are the people, like your humble Rumbler, that are sick and tired of rewarding losers.

Under My Thumb

Sounds like the Democrat congress referring to the American people! The screaming girls act just like the Obamistas...frightening.

Another All Star for the Barry O Team

Beck has been on the forefront of identifying the "problems" in the Wondrous One's selections....here's another star!

Boy am I confused..

Saturday Night Live - Don't Buy Stuff

Yeah, let's not have that guy staring at us...

I guess if I were in the Miracle Workers shoes, I wouldn't want the stern visage of Mr. Churchill staring at me either. Somehow, I suspect Churchill is happier to be out of there. He could not comprehend a leader bent on the destruction of their own country. Read the whole story here.

Is this the new look of our foreign policy? Turn our backs on the traditional enemies like the British while we embrace our long standing friends in the Muslim world? There's some change we can believe in.

As the great man once said: "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." I suspect there's some serious grave-spinning going on across the pond.

Barry O would do well to remember this bit of wisdom too: "The whole history of the world is summed up in the fact that, when nations are strong, they are not always just, and when they wish to be just, they are no longer strong." I know it doesn't sit well in the Land of Hopeandchange where everyone gets a fluffy purple unicorn, but 'dem's the facts, ma'am.

Texicans Prepare!

As someone that hails from the Lone Star State, here's an entry paragraph that caught my eye:

AUSTIN -- Texas officials are working on a plan to respond to a potential collapse of the Mexican government and the specter of thousands fleeing north in fear for their lives after recent reports indicated the country could be on the verge of chaos.

This is not made up - it's from the El Paso Times...read the whole article here. We talked about this on this forum not long ago when the DOD study was first released. Maybe we should spend some of the Spendulus proceeds to finish the damned fence!

Debate is Futile! Resistance is Futile!

Ignore the facts and lets go spend!

The Truth Shown Graphically

There's one missing line in this graph. If you put the tracking polls of Barrack Obama versus John McCain, the big tip down occurs when Barry O went ahead for good.

Remember, the market is a forward looking measure.

Commisar of Health?

You just knew that in close to 700 pages you were going to find something just a little suspicious didn't you? Looks like Bloomberg found at least one item that should send chills up your spine:

One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446).
Now I am a little confused. Aren't these the very same people who conjured up a "Right to Privacy" from some dust fragments folded into an old copy of our Constitution? But wait, it gets better:

Hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties. “Meaningful user” isn’t defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary, who will be empowered to impose “more stringent measures of meaningful use over time” (511, 518, 540-541)
So my Doc and my hospital are going to be forced into participating in this system? Good lord people, this is starting to sound like the Matrix! If you saw the movie, you will understand this picture. Are we doomed to become the energy force that feeds the Matrix of the Federal Government?

These folks are out for pure control. Once our right to privacy is compromised, they've got you. I picture the scene where you are going in to vote, angry at the way the government has been running things. You are ready to throw 'da bums out! A pleasant lady dressed in a grey suit with a choker collar that has a thin red piping on it signifying her rank, greets you at the door to the polling station. "Good afternoon, Mr. Rumbler," she says. "I'm here to vote," you reply. "Mr. Rumbler, we hope you will vote for the correct candidate...we wouldn't want your employer knowing about your prostate situation, would we?"

The bumper-sticker left has one they sported on the backs of their Yugos during W's term that said "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." I wonder where I can get one of those.

Read the whole article over here.

The Obamas Find A Public School!

I think it's great that a President and the First Lady would take time to visit with school children. I just find it more than passing hypocritical though that they would do this but NOT send their kids to this school. Why?

Are the DC Public Schools not good enough for the Obamas? Maybe if there were school choice, or a charter school...

The Walking Around Dough

As if we had any doubt, Director Blue has the goods over here. This isn't about rescuing the economy, stupid, it's about creating permanent DEPENDENT reliable Democrat votes. They already have a permanent base in California and Illinois...a couple of more states in that camp and we end up with one party rule - with those that are receiving the largess of the state out-voting those that are providing it.

Sick.

Panic!!

So this just came over the wire:

President Barack Obama decried as "inexcusable and irresponsible" the delay of his economic recovery legislation in Congress after a new data revealed that an estimated 3.6 million Americans have lost their jobs since the recession began. His remarks were some of his most direct and pointed in support of the stimulus package, which the Senate could vote on as soon as Friday afternoon. Obama acknowledged the current bill "is not perfect, but a bill is absolutely necessary."

Is this guy panicked? What's the flippin' hurry??? Reminds me of this scene from Airplane:

This is what happens when you put a totally inexperienced waif in the White House. Enjoy suckas!

SCHIP PASSES! The Children are Saved!!

SCHIP (State Childrens Health Insurance Plan) was expanded by Mr. O yesterday, saving another 4 million children! Look at the kindly leader of our state holding the patriotic young lad! Look how happy the child is to have the great leader holding him!

This concept is flawed in so many ways, but here are two key points:

1. It expands the eligibility of "free" health insurance for kids to families making up to $88,000 per year.

2. It's paid for by increasing the tax on cigarettes to $1.00 per pack from $.39.

On the first point, the "poverty level" in the United States is defined as $21,200 for a family of four. So at $88K you still should not be responsible to pay for your kid's healthcare?

Second...years ago I worked for the EVIL tobacco company, RJR. When you looked over our sales trends, you want to know what the numero uno deterrent to smoking was? Higher taxes. Yup, nothing dropped our sales like increasing the tax on cigarrettes. Ban the advertising? Fine, we pocketed the profit with almost no change in volume. No more print? We're cool with that - pocket the profit. Raise the taxes? OUCH! People quit smoking! Heritage Foundation estimates it will take 22,000,000 NEW smokers to pay for this bill.

Now the smartie mcsmartiespants comgressmen know this, so why pass this bill? Do they want more people to DIE of cancer? No, it's pretty obvious - they want more people being dependent on the government. Wake up folks, this is socialized medicine bit by tiny bit.

Nancy Pelosi: Dumber than Soap

'Nuff said...

Ass-Clown

Folks, I apologize for the "edgy" language, but this man is an ass-clown. Here is what he said:

California's farms and vineyards could vanish by the end of the century, and its major cities could be in jeopardy, if Americans do not act to slow the advance of global warming, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu said Tuesday.
Meanwhile in the real world, there is this:

This is a map of the depth of the freeze anticipated for tonight...all the way down to central Florida. Writing from 14 degree Nashville, it's flippin' cold OK? Now the same people that forecast last week that today would have highs in the mid-40's are today telling us that we won't get out of the low 30's. AND these are the same people that are telling us in 20 years we are doomed to destruction based on their models? BALDERDASH!!!

I am sick and tired of psuedo-science being used to grab power and take away our freedom. Should we develop responsibly? Of course. Should we conserve water and recycle trash? Of course! Do I need some pin-head physicist telling me what car I can drive and how far I can drive it? F%*k NO!!!

Now the leftards love to tell you that Chu is a "Nobel Prize Winner" and therefore someone we should listen to. Woooooo....I'm scared! What did he win the Nobel for? This is from the Nobel Citation:

Steven Chu, Claude Cohen-Tannoudji, and William D. Phillips have developed methods of using laser light to cool gases to the µK temperature range and keeping the chilled atoms floating or captured in different kinds of "atom traps". The laser light functions as a thick liquid, dubbed optical molasses, in which the atoms are slowed down. Individual atoms can be studied there with very great accuracy and their inner structure can be determined. As more and more atoms are captured in the same volume a thin gas forms, and its properties can be studied in detail. The new methods of investigation that the Nobel Laureates have developed have contributed greatly to increasing our knowledge of the interplay between radiation and matter. In particular, they have opened the way to a deeper understanding of the quantum-physical behaviour of gases at low temperatures. The methods may lead to the design of more precise atomic clocks for use in, e.g., space navigation and accurate determination of position. A start has also been made on the design of atomic interferometers with which, e.g., very precise measurements of gravitational forces can be made, and atomic lasers, which may be used in the future to manufacture very small electronic components.

Trapping atoms with lasers! He is no more qualified to be making these kinds of doomsday predictions than my 6th grader. Dammit liberals, leave us alone!

O.P.M.

"OPM" or "Other People's Money" is good B-School jargon for how to succeed in business. Leveraging other people's money with your own skills to create value. But it now appears that this same concept could be leveled at the bulk of the Democrat party. Three of Barry O's nominees for positions seem to not understand how to pay their taxes:

"Nancy Killefer has decided to withdraw her nomination, and we accepted her withdrawal," Tommy Vietor, a White House spokesman, said Tuesday. The 55-year-old executive with consulting giant McKinsey & Co., was expected to explain her reasons for pulling out later in the day.

When her selection was announced by Obama on Jan. 7, The Associated Press disclosed that in 2005 the District of Columbia government had filed a $946.69 tax lien on her home for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help.

Since then, administration officials refused to answer questions about the tax error, which she resolved five months after the lien was filed. Obama's first choice for commerce secretary, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson took his name out of consideration when his confirmation appeared headed toward complications because of a grand jury investigation over how state contracts were issued to political donors.

More recently, Timothy Geithner was confirmed as Treasury secretary despite belatedly paying $34,000 in income taxes and Tom Daschle is still waiting to see if his late payment of more than $128,000 in income taxes will harm his nomination to be health and human services secretary.

$34,000? $128,000??? This is so far past the point of credulity that it is laughable. At least Ms. Killefer had the decency to withdraw her nomination. The brilliant, indespensible brain thing, Tim Geithner is now running the Treasury Department which includes the...IRS! Daschle will probably get through simply because of the Senate Club Rules. Ordinary citizens go to jail over stuff like this...Republicans get crucified in public...Democrats? They get cabinet posts.

This is sickening.
