The Truth Behind "Cap and Trade"

"...under my plan electricity rates will skyrocket..."

There is an excellent analysis of this sham that is being foisted on the American people over at the Institute for Energy Research - give it a read here. There are far easier solutions including nuclear power and increased drilling...but the Zombobamabots won't allow any discussion.

Zombobanots? Wha? That's ad hominem, you know. Lets talk issues.

Why not new technology instead of dirty coal and crap big energy? Shanna, this is outdated thinking. Lets go with innovation. Cap and trade is not perfect but loosing the Ross Ice Shelf and global climate change and dirty air are not worth saving big energy. There are plenty of job-creating smaller-scale solutions, and cap and trade should be part of it. We need higher gas prices, too, and California needs to raise taxes or we will have no infrastructure nor public schools left. Stop the old, outdated thinking. Lets get on with cleaning up the mess big energy has made of the planet, okay?
Big energy (particularly big coal) is not interested in helping us restore full employment. Small-scale, innovative solutions can drive a new economy of real American problem-solving! Thanks for starting a stimulating discussion, Shanna.
