Saw this over the weekend - an excellent, concise analysis by someone really in the know:

Here's a written piece that validates the information in the video.

No plan has been published - everyone is reacting to the outlines put out by the Administration and leaked documents coming out of the subcommittees...tin man.

so... freely admitting that there is no actual data available, you feel the need to work yourself into a self-indulgent, random lather?

do you have a job? what is it that you do that allows you to find the time to form angry opinions about things you dont understand all day (especially since it is clear form the 0 comments that your little site here generates no revenue...)?

Oh snark, snark, snark but I do appreciate your concern over my financial status - especially since your guy is making it a lot worse.

You would have to be a troglodyte living under a rock to not know what the broad outlines of Obamacare look like, thus the lather.

Actually, the article in WSJ is very good and very pointed--not a "straw man." It cites many very good "data points" that specifically address--indeed undermine--the very foundations of the "thought process" that the current administration is constructing to push for changes to the American healthcare system.

As Americans, we HAVE A DUTY to take time out of our daily lives (yes, even while holding down a job) and PAY ATTENTION to the initial reports from the administration in order to understand NOW the direction they want to move. We can not keep sleepwalking through this time of endless CHANGE and HOPE it turns out OK. As individuals we must look out for ourselves. No one will--or should--do it for us. The government is NOT our parents and will not (and should not) make everything perfect for us...to expect that is to surrender your freedom.

If everyone sits around until the final healthcare plan is unveiled, it will be too late to react--which may be what they are hoping for. The lightening speed with which the huge "stimulus bill" moved through Congress was mind-boggling. They will do it again with the healthcare plan, because they do not want anyone looking at all its ramifications too closely. We need to be vigilant...this is OUR country and OUR way of life that the administration keeps tossing around. Take your eyes off the ideas they are talking about today, and you will be sitting around with rationed healthcare tomorrow.

There is a reason so many citizens of countries with government healthcare programs come to the USA to get serious care--because their programs DO NOT WORK--and they want to get cured, not die on some waiting list.

Do we need to change some aspects of our system...yes, we need to find ways to make it work better for everyone using the PRIVATE SECTOR. However, allowing the government to "become the solution" is no solution...there is very little they touch that they improve. It would be like killing the patient to "cure" the sickness.
