The Obamagical Mystery Tour

Excellent summary of the Obamagical Mystery Tour through Europe over at the WSJ this morning. Of course, the New York Times Clone Press is saying that it was a smashing success. But the reality is, despite having 12 teleprompters in tow, Big O fell with a thud in Europe. George Friedman's Stratfor group has a good summary as well - far from the fawning press, rational minds observe that:

1. The 5,000 European troop commitment to Afghanistan only lasts till August - the 21,000 we are committing will be there indefinitely.
2. The tie our wrists together and commit financial hari kiri didn't happen either - I never thought I would say this, but thank God for the Germans.
3. On a protocol and politeness track, Barry O was a bomb - he insulted the British (United Kingdon not England, no bowing to Saudis, the United States is not a Christian nation, yada, yada, yada) - if George W. had done half of this, he would have been excoriated in the press.
4. Dragging the United States through the mud on an apology tour is sickening...at what point in time will members of the left take pride in this nation? As one wag put it the other day, we liberated the western half of Europe in 1945 and the eastern half in 1989. To whom do we owe an apology??!!

All in all, it is a sad day for the United States. A proud nation laid low by the likes of this amatuer...shame, shame.
