Israel Today, the West Tomorrow

Israel Today, the West Tomorrow

This is an excellent article from the author of "America Alone." We need to wake up to the fact that the combination of democracy and political correctness is suicide.

yeah maybe.... or perhaps the combination of stupid, archaic religious beliefs and the corollary ingrained, institutional ignorance? i think your conclusion is rather spurious and misses the underlying CAUSE of all this.

wouldn't it be great if all this strife went away? (never will as long as religion forces pointless factioning of the world's people. but a world without religion would not have these problems.)

What Anonymous fails to appreciate is that the very freedom he has to impugn the faith of others stems from the tradition and culture of the Judeo-Christian ethic.

What fantasy to believe that if we all became atheists our problems would be solved. But I guess that type of thing can hatch in a fevered mind that lacks the humility to acknowledge a greater being.

somehow you fail to see that your presupposition (that you have a magic guy in the sky giving a crap about you) means that we arent allowed to say that the muslims are incredibly stupid for thinking that they also have a magic sky man. get it? if we could all say "wow, thats really stupid. you dont have a magic sky man telling you to kill us"... that would be delightful.

and quit with the 'judeo-christian tradition/ethic makes it all possible' crap. first, that term itself is new. it wasnt until after the eisenhower years that america added the judeo- part to that statement. the meaning of that statement has been so diluted over the years as to be completely without meaning these days. the underlying commonalities are present in basically ALL religious traditions. stop pretending that somehow you are special because you happen to believe the latest mass-delusion of humanity.

further, there have been a few civilizations throughout history that used different magic things to explain what they didnt understand. you really think your brand of fables are better than odin? what about ba'al or asmodeus or the flying spaghetti monster? it's all the same crap. you think you have magic guiding your actions and so do they... if you allow yourself to say that religious fables are true, then you cant logically fault them for reaching the same stupid conclusion. either everyone gets to say "my magic invisible sky man says for me to do this" or nobody does. you dont get to pick and choose.

I enjoy publishing comments from Anonymous, because he is so afraid of faith and religion. Ooooh, "quit with the Judeo-Christian crap." Why? Why do you despise the philosophical roots of this country so much?

Any rate, the article is about Israel as a metaphor for Western Civilization - Mr. A is Exhibit A.

do you even bother to read the comments that i post? i explain in the very next sentence why i said to 'stop the j-c- tradition crap'. try READING. you might learn something. i can tell it has been a long time since you tried learning anything that you werent told by your sunday school teacher in the 50s, but maybe, just maybe, you are still capable of it....

here, read this:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=7513343&page=1

it is actually quite well written - and appears to be accurate, as well, based on a quick google around the net.

so, again... my future appears to be possible, while yours seems to be going the way of the dodo. mmm... feels good to be right.

Your lefty poster is dumber than dirt and an atheist to boot. Why do you waste time with a moron that won't take the time to read the article?

You have been far too kind to this Huffpo clone.
