“We should never despair, our Situation before has been unpromising and has changed for the better, so I trust, it will again. If new difficulties arise, we must only put forth new Exertions and proportion our Efforts to the exigency of the times.” —George Washington

Hope, Change
This fine gentleman, the Reverend Joseph Lowery, delivered the benediction at the "Historic Inauguration" today...in the more things change, the more they stay the same category, the good Rev offered this bit of wisdom to the gathered multitude:
"We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to give back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right,"
Do we have to get an African American into the Papacy before racists like Lowery will drop this?
